We are passionate about finding the very best ingredients, sourcing local produce, and creating Gelato that will make you smile.
We believe you should know where your food comes from. So, we profile our wonderful partners who supply us with the best milk, cream, fruits, nuts and other amazing ingredients. They all form part of the Gelato Gelato story.
Our inspiration comes from our love of food, and of course – Gelato.
Having travelled to Italy to learn from the very best; we now bring a little piece of Italy back to all to enjoy on the Surf Coast and beyond. We are passionate about finding the very best ingredients, growing and sourcing local produce, and creating Gelato that will make people smile. We use the very best milk, cream, fruit, nuts and other amazing ingredients available in their raw and most natural form and make everything from scratch. No colourings, flavouring or preservatives to be found here! Our dairy flavours have low fat content because we use less cream, and our sorbets are completely fat free, dairy free and are packed full of fruit. Each flavour is created by hand on our premises in Lorne and Anglesea.
To help us benchmark our product, we have entered a few competitions since opening, and have had some amazing results!
Since 2017 our Gelato has consistently placed amongst the best, and taken top honours of champion and best gelato.
2017 – Australian Fine Food Awards – Awarded Best Gelato for our maple Walnut, along with 9 Gold medals and 7 Silver Medals
Dairy Industry Association of Australia – 1 Gold medal and 9 Silver Medals
2018 – Australian Fine Food Awards – Awarded Champion Frozen dessert for Australia, Best Gelato for our Roasted Coconut, and a swag of gold and silver…
2019 – Australian Fine Food Awards – Awarded Best Sorbet for our Raspberry Sorbet, and more gold and silver!

What we stand for…..
We use eco-friendly plates, forks, knives and tasting spoons that are manufactured from bamboo, and use a range of recycled paper napkins to minimise our environmental impact
